Short Hiatus!!

Hi everyone...
just checking in and letting you all know what's up!
I'm currently in the process of moving my home
from Arizona to Washington by the end of May.
I've posted a few pics to show the change
I'm making.  We're going from the
Southwest Desert to the Pacific Northwest.
What a culture shock!  But really we're just going home.

Leaving the Southwest Desert...

Going to the Pacific Northwest!

Look close, we have a VISITOR!

Things are busy and the house
is a mess with boxes, sorting, organizing and packing.
I've packed most my yarn with the exception of a
few skeins (for hats) to help keep my hands busy
when I have some down time.
However I may be digging into that box again since I
packed some yarn that I really could use right now.
Guess I jumped the gun on that one, LOL!

I've also taken the time to start a new blog to document
my travels (moving) and future outings like hiking,
camping and any other outdoorsy fun!  With this blog I
follow other RV'ers and Campers so you won't find
crafty, crocheting, knitting stuff over there.

So I just wanted to let you know that things will
be slow going for a bit but I will be back to add
my finished creations.  YES! I'm still reading your
blogs tho you may not hear from me as frequent
during the next month or two; I am still here! LOL!

O.K. if you've made it this far and you're still
interested you can find my new blog by
clicking on the title link at the top of the page.

Hope you all had a Great Easter!
Cheers!

New Toy & A Little Color

I'm very excited to have my new toy and YES!
recommend you get one yourself!

I picked this little guy up at WalMart for just under $20.
Although they had a larger more elaborate one for
$35 I didn't feel the need for something that detailed.

I love the fact I can now weigh my scraps, hats or skiens
and know exactly what I have.  No more guessing!

2.5 oz.

Glass top measures 6.25" ~ nice size

Love having Fresh & Easy across the street!

And a Splash of Color!

Hope you all have a wonderful weekend!!

Tioga George Where Are You?

ROAD TRIP!!
So we decided to roll the dice and hit the road
with hopes of finding Tioga George!

It was a BUST!

but check out The Team's Haunts...

Orange Slice looking for Tioga George

Quick bite to eat while strolling Gila Bend

WiFi at the Gila Bend Library

Stopped by the library for some free wifi and
that's when we found out George was in Yuma!
YUMA?
How the heck did that happen...

Familiar Picture

Hey I've been there...

Gila Bend Library

Orange Slice Hanging Out!

The drive was pleasant but the landscape could
use a boost.  As much as I enjoyed the
mountains I couldn't quite capture the beauty on film.

We passed on a DQ Blizzard on our way out of town
instead opting for a Vanilla Breve at
The Coffee Shop just across the street from our home.

The one thing that had me thinking on the drive
back was all the garbage on the side of the road.
There were plastic bags stuck to the
barbed wire fence for miles and I had to wonder...
was it like this when Wyatt Earp rolled through??

Anyway, I'm home now blogging and enjoying
my coffee but sure wish I had the opportunity
to meet George and the Team.  It wasn't
for lack of trying, lol.  Next time George you'll
need to come see me and I'll give you a front
row seat to a view on Lake Coeur D'Alene.
Good Luck George and Happy RV'ing!!

Grandmother's Favorite Dishcloth

Saturday I got together with my girls for some
knitting time and low & behold Kim gave me
another project to try....

I promised myself I wouldn't get too many projects
going at the same time but oh what the heck!

You can find the info here...

This an easy, quick knit and
I'll definitely be making more.

Thanks Kim!!

Ta-Dah!!!

Yea!  My very first knit hat is done!

I finished this up just before heading out to my
knitting group and had DD try it on first.
Fits perfect for her, just the way she likes them.

Again I used Wool-Ease Yarn from Michaels
with size 8 (5.0 mm) dpn's.

You can find the pattern here....
